Big Five Horse Safaris

Riding safaris in Kenya with Ride Africa
Riding safaris in Kenya with Ride Africa
Big five horse safaris travel through areas where elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are resident, in some cases not all of the big five are resident. The game viewing in Kenya rivals every other country in Africa so it is natural that most riding safaris in Kenya should travel through big five country. Guests must be competent at a canter to ride through big five reserves and must feel comfortable galloping or cantering for long periods of time.

The trails last for anything from 4 to 6 hours a day before settling down in a luxury lodge or tented accommodation. The horses which are bred to go on these trails are forwards going but sure footed, brought up in the bush and experienced in areas which the guests are not, making for a safe ride across stunning country. The guides are all charismatic and most were brought up in the bush meaning their knowledge is in depth and fascinating. They will be able to track game eventually finding whatever it is your choice to look for.
