Botswana Rides
  Most riding safaris in Botswana are situated in big five game territory. On rides guests will come across some of the most intimidating and awe inspiring game in Africa. Herds of elephant almost crowd the Okavango delta at certain times of the year and lions roar close to camp at night. All the horses available for safaris have been brought up in this environment, most are South African thoroughbreds and are responsive and quick, giving you an excellent ride and inspiring much confidence. Only experienced riders, secure in the saddle at all paces are accepted on these rides.
The key to success here is trust your horse. Led by an experienced guide, you will have game encounters which are simply not possible in a vehicle. Big five safaris can be relaxed or fast, the guide will set the pace depending on the group at the time. Children are welcome at some camps but must be experienced riders.
